Since I associate with a wide variety of people from different religious, political, and socio-economical backgrounds, I thought I'd try to avoid offending anyone and I'd let you customize this Christmas card to your specifications and preferences. Just mark the selections you relate the best to. This way I can send the same card to people who live in a mansion in the Hamptons or to those living in a trailer park in Barstow. Let's start with the greeting on the cover.
Dear Friends,
( ) Merry Christmas
( ) Happy Holidays
( ) Seasons Greetings
( ) It's Winter
Please choose one of the following photographs for the cover of your card:
Traditional Nativity scene |
Winter Village |
Homer Santa |
Jersey Shore Christmas |
I hope you enjoy listening to your favorite holiday music :
( ) Handel's Messiah
( ) Oh Holy Night
( ) Jingle Bells
( ) Grandma Got Run over by a Reindeer
If you are like me, then I know you and your family will enjoy watching:
( ) It's a Wonderful Life
( ) How the Grinch Stole Christmas
( ) Home Alone
( ) Santa with Muscles
I hope you can spend some quality time with your family:
( ) Roasting chestnuts over an open fire
( ) Playing games with your kids
( ) Making sugar cookies
( ) Watching the MacGyver marathon on cable
Hopefully, I was able to dial in and reach you all on a personal level. But seriously, I hope you can all get past the stress and hectic pace of the season and enjoy yourselves with those you care about most.
Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas, Tomchaka! (I think Tomchaka works if you use an India... Native American voice)
OOps, got to go set the 'Simpsons' Christmas special to record.
Very clever! Love it. I will take The Jersey Shore card, please.
I think I'd rather get this post as a Christmas card than the Christmas cards I have got this year.
looks like you got your entire list covered personally to a T!
Merry Christmas to you!
Love it!
Have a great holiday!
Love it!!
Merry Christmas, Tom. This was really very clever and most appreciated. Have a wonderful holiday. Blessings...Mary
"it's winter" made me laugh.
I volunteered in my child's kinder class for The Big Christmas Party.
There was a child who (for religious reasons) did not celebrate Christmas.
He looked at me sincerely and said, "I cannot decorate Santa cookies becuase I do not worship the Devil."
"It's Winter" it is!
Great idea! I have decided to add to my bucket list.
Send out Christmas cards at least for one Christmas.
So lame on my end.
